We have two new systems called PowerSchool (new Student Information System) and Canvas (new Learning Management System)
Our Principal sent an email during the summer of 2019, which you should have received, if for some reason you did not receive it, please reference the email below. Here is a sample of the email, “Please use the link below and follow steps 1 through 6 found at the link here for step-by-step instructions. If you have multiple students enrolled you will receive an email for each student with the information needed to link those additional student accounts.

As you are hopefully aware, we have been making some exciting changes to the software we use to support learning in the High School. This includes setting up a new Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas. Canvas is where teachers will create/post assignments, submit grades and send the majority of their communications.
We need parents to spend a few minutes to make, then link a Canvas account to their daughters’. This will allow parents to keep up with their daughters’ grades and be in the loop on most communications from teachers.
The process to set up as an observer in Canvas requires four steps, none are difficult but may require attention to the linked instructions:
1.Students will follow these instructions to generate a pairing code through Canvas for their parents.
2.Students will send this code to their parents (typically by copy/pasting into an email).
3.Parents will follow these instructions to make an account through here.
Parents will use the code to link this new account to their students. This account will now be an observer for their students and able to participate in Canvas.
